Terms of Service
The rules of the road for the free scan and for monthly work. Written to be read, not to hide anything.
Agreement
These terms apply to your use of outliercreativeco.com and to services provided by Outlier Creative Co., a studio operating from Midcoast Maine. Using the site or requesting a scan means you accept them.
The free scan
The AI visibility scan is offered free with no obligation. The on-page result is an instant preview estimate; the full report is produced and sent separately, typically within fifteen minutes during working hours.
The scan reflects what answer engines and search results returned at the moment we ran it. Those systems change constantly and without notice, so results are a snapshot rather than a guarantee of current or future placement. The report is yours to keep and use however you like.
Monthly services
Term and cancellation
Retainers run month to month with no long-term contract. You may cancel at any time with written notice before your next billing date; service continues through the period you have already paid for. We may also end an engagement with 30 days' notice.
Billing
Fees are billed monthly in advance at the rate quoted when you sign up. Payment is due on receipt. Because work is performed during the month it covers, monthly fees are not refundable once that month has begun.
Advertising budgets
Where we manage paid media, ad budgets are paid by you directly to the platform — Google, Meta, or another — and are set by you. Those budgets are separate from our fee, and we add no markup to any pass-through cost.
Account ownership
You own every account we set up or manage on your behalf, including advertising accounts, analytics properties, your Google Business Profile, and your domain. If we part ways, they stay with you and we remove our access.
Production work
Short-form and social video included in a retainer is produced from scheduled shoots. Commercial shoots, brand films, and multi-day productions are scoped and quoted per project under a separate written agreement, with terms specific to that project.
What we need from you
Our work depends on timely access and input — account access, approvals, and information about your business. Where a delay in providing those affects a timeline, that timeline shifts accordingly. You confirm that any material you give us is yours to use.
Results
We do not guarantee specific rankings, citations, lead volume, or revenue. Search engines and AI answer engines are controlled by third parties and change their systems frequently. What we commit to is the work described in your plan, reported honestly, in numbers you can read.
Ownership of work
Deliverables we produce for you — content, creative, and assets — become yours once the invoice covering them is paid. We keep ownership of our own underlying tools, templates, and methods. We may reference the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Confidentiality
Non-public information you share with us stays confidential, and we expect the same in return.
Liability
Services are provided as described, without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maine.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address. If a change materially affects an active engagement, we will tell you before it takes effect.
